Mauro Braglia, nasce a Mombasa il 12 agosto 1964 e fin da adolescente  dimostra grande interesse per tutto ciò che è arte iniziando con la musica e la pittura , ma poi affascinato dalla scultura, le resta definitivamente legato quando inventa una tecnica tutta sua con la sabbia.
Studia le forme della creta, del metallo e della pietra ma è con la sabbia che trova il modo migliore di esprimersi.
Utilizza vari tipi di sabbia di consistenze e colorazioni diverse che reperisce in gran parte sulle coste abbinando spesso alle sue creazioni anche cristalli pregiati.
La materia prima viene amalgamata con delle resine che restano modellabili  il tempo necessario per completare il lavoro e alla fine il risultato ha l'aspetto e la durezza della pietra con il particolare abbinamento dei colori e delle consistenze.

Mauro Braglia was born in Mombasa Kenya  in 1964 on the 12th of August and since he was a teenager he showed great interest in everything that is art.
He begins with music and painting, but then fascinated by sculpture, remains permanently tied to it and invents a technique of his own with sand.  He studied the shapes of clay, metal and stone.
He found that with the sand he was able to realize his best operas using various types of sand of different colors and textures, which he gets from beaches on the coasts . He often combines his
 creations with precious crystals and stones.
 The raw material is blended with resins that remains mouldable to work the sculpture .at the end
 the result has the appearance and hardness of the stone with the particular combination of colors and textures.
